Fearless Deliveries

Children lose the most in conflict. They miss out on essentials like nutrition, education and health care.

UNICEF has more than 75 years of experience delivering life-saving supplies in 153 countries. When emergency strikes, UNICEF can deliver help to children in just 48 hours.

Our teams are on ground, fearlessly delivering for every child, no matter what. Yet, right now, children in conflict-affected places like Yemen, Afghanistan, Syria and Ukraine need food, clean water, education, and warm clothes, especially as they face a bitterly cold winter.

Children in Yemen need malnutrition treatment

Yemen is experiencing the worst humanitarian crisis in the world. Today, more than 20 million people need food, medical treatment, education, water and sanitation. More than 11.3 million children need urgent humanitarian assistance.

They are children like one-year-old Ghosson, who has been living in a displacement camp with her family all her short life. Ghosson was feeling very sick and she was taken to hospital, where she was diagnosed with Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM).

"When I see Ghosson suffering I feel so sad and I try to do the impossible to borrow money to treat her. After she received treatment [for SAM], her health improved and she no longer suffers. I wish my daughter Ghosson wellness like all other children, and I also hope that she will receive a good education in the future."

The situation is ongoing in Yemen, and children and babies like Ghosson will keep getting sick if we can’t reach them.

$90

For $90, you can help to provide 176 sachets of life-saving therapeutic food.

90 m

More than 90 million people worldwide were forcibly displaced in 2021. Nearly half were children.

UNICEF is urgently appealing for funds to deliver therapeutic food, warm clothing, and school supplies to millions of children living in constant fear.

"Whatever their circumstances, children are children. They neither create nor control conflict. They are its victims, and they need services and support...understanding and solidarity. "
